Strainers and Baskets for Strainers

Interfilter Group can supply a wide range of quality strainers with corresponding filter baskets. Strainers are used where there is a lower level of contamination in the fluid flow and protect the pumps in your process. You can come to us for Duplex strainers, Simplex strainers, Temporary strainers, Basket strainers, T strainers, Y strainers, corresponding filter baskets, and more. The strainers are custom-made, considering the desired dimensions and micronages. The strainers can be used as an alternative to, for example, the brand Boll and Kirch. Revision and cleaning of the strainers is also optional.

Basket Strainers

Basket strainers are strainers where a basket, also known as a sieve basket, is incorporated into the strainer. The baskets can be manufactured and lined with filter mesh so that it is available in the desired micronage. In addition to the micronage, basket strainers are available with various connections, connection sizes, pressure classes, and materials.

Y-Strainers and T-Strainers

The names 'Y strainer' and 'T strainer' refer to the shape in which the strainer is made. Y strainers are available with flanged or threaded connections. The filter baskets inside these strainers are also made of filter mesh in the desired micronage and are available in many different sizes, materials, pressure classes, and connection sizes.

Simplex Strainers and Duplex Strainers

Simplex strainers have one sieve basket inside the housing and can be directly installed between the pipework of your process. Duplex strainers, on the other hand, have two sieve baskets inside the housing, which can be used separately from each other. The filter baskets in these strainers are supplied according to the desired micronage, pressure class, dimensions, and connections.

Temporary Filter Strainers, Also Known as Point Strainers

Temporary filter strainers are designed to be used in temporary processes where the point strainer is used for a short period. These strainers are used, for example, during the commissioning or startup phase of a new process to remove coarse debris from the fluid flow. Temporary filter strainers are easy to install and remove between two flanges in your piping system.

Types of Filter Baskets

A filter basket is often used to protect the startup of new systems through coarse filtration and pre-filtration. This protection ensures that coarse debris in the installation is captured by the filter basket. There are also filter baskets with fine filtration for other applications. Filter baskets are usually interchangeable, meaning they can easily be removed and cleaned or replaced when they become clogged. This minimizes downtime and ensures that the filtration process remains efficient. You can choose from a temporary strainer, basket and element types, pleated open baskets, and an elliptical basket, all custom-made.
