In collaboration with our partner Deltrian International, we are introducing the NWES98 PLUS: an air filter for ventilation systems suitable for upgrading the filter class for recirculated air according to REHVA. Thanks to the ISO ePM1-90% filter class, the NWES98 PLUS easily meets the recommendation of at least ISO ePM1-80% in cases of recirculation, as indicated by REHVA. Additionally, the filter medium is equipped with a virucidal coating (citric acid) that is bonded to the filter fabric using cold plasma technology, effectively inactivating any viruses potentially present in the filter.

Healthy (work) environment

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus, REHVA has advised disabling the recirculation of ventilation systems wherever possible to prevent potential virus spread through air ducts. However, adequate ventilation must still be ensured. Ventilation without recirculation is not always feasible as the ventilation design may not allow for it in all cases. Consequences of disabling recirculation can include insufficient heating in winter, insufficient cooling in summer, or inadequate air flushing of a space. With the application of NWES98 PLUS bag filters, it is possible to safely re-enable the recirculation function of ventilation systems. The filter removes the smallest fine dust particles and virus carriers such as aerosols, after which the virucidal agent inactivates the vast majority of viruses present.
