Filter Hoses
Filter Hoses, also known as Dust Collection Bags
Part description
Filter Hoses for Dust Collection
Application of Filter Hoses
Interfilter Group supplies dust collection bags for various filtration systems. The filter hoses are often mounted on matching filter cages to keep the bags in the correct open shape, but the hoses are also available for all other dust collection systems with different types of mounting. The range of filter hoses is therefore suitable for any dust collection system and is always custom-made with the appropriate medium for each application. The most common dust collection systems with filter hoses are:
- Dust collection compressed air systems
- Dust collection wash air systems
- Dust collection mechanical cleaning systems
High-Quality Dust Filtration Media
For each dust collection system and situation, it is important to select the right filter materials. With high-quality filter media, we can achieve longer service lives and the most optimal filtration results for your process. In most cases, all dust that accumulates on the dust filter fabric is blown off using compressed air or removed through mechanical cleaning. It is also possible to choose various coatings, such as PTFE, oil- and water-repellent, flame-retardant, anti-hydraulic, or anti-adhesive coatings.
Materials for Filter Hoses
- Acrylic
- Cotton
- Polyester
- Aramid
- Sulfar
- Polypropylene
Certification of Dust Collection Hoses
The filter hoses are, if applicable, also available with an FDA food certificate or ATEX certificate.
What is a Starbag Filter Hose?
In addition to regular filter hoses, we also supply the Starbag dust collection hoses. These filter hoses can be used in existing dust collection systems where a new cage is purchased only once.
The advantages of the filter are:
- Starbags provide more surface area in the dust collection unit compared to regular hoses.
- More surface area of the filter media means less resistance and therefore a longer service life.
- Due to the larger surface area, the system can handle more flow.
These filter hoses can therefore be a good solution in situations where, for example, production has increased, and the previous system lacked the capacity to handle that.
Self-Supporting Filter Hoses for High Temperatures
Do you need filter hoses with a temperature-resistant filter medium and special surface coatings resistant to exceptional mechanical stress? The high-temperature bag filters can be used without a filter cage and withstand temperatures up to 850°C due to fire-resistant materials (non-combustible category A1). Since this bag filter can withstand such high temperatures, it can be applied in combustion processes within industries, steel mills, glass production, waste incineration, and more.
The Difference Between a Filter Hose and a Filter Bag
Filter hoses are not much different from filter bags. Filter hoses are usually round dust collection bags, while filter bags are flat in shape. Additionally, filter bags are always mounted on a filter cage, while filter hoses can be mounted in other ways, depending on the dust collection system.
