Dust extraction PLTF Jet-Pulse
Complete filter unit with pleated hoses
Part description
Dry Dust Extraction with Pleated Filter Hoses
The PLTF Jet-Pulse unit with pleated filter hoses are commonly used for capturing dry substances, vapors, and smoke in central extraction systems. This dust extraction system features Jet-Pulse filter cleaning technology, one of the essential components of dust removal systems. The PLTF series offers many advantages over traditional baghouse filter units.
The main advantage of the PLTF series is the high-quality pleated filter bags/hoses used. The pleated hoses utilize the polyMIGHT series non-woven spun-bond polyester technology, which provides much higher filtration efficiency in a much smaller area compared to traditional dust extraction hoses.
In the image on the right, you can see a comparison between the traditional filter hoses (right) with the same capacity and the PLTF Jet-Pulse model with pleated filter hoses (left). The PLTF model has much shorter lengths and a much smaller footprint compared to traditional bag filters with the same capacity.
Advantages of Dry Dust Extraction with Pleated Bags
Dry Dust Extraction Uses Less Energy
Pleated filter bags, which have the surface area of four traditional bag filters, consume much less compressed air during each cleaning cycle, allowing them to operate more energy-efficiently.
Dry Dust Extraction Takes Up Less Space
It takes up much less space in the same filter area, allowing valuable factory space to be allocated to core production. Therefore, it is the most suitable choice for companies with limited space.
The Filters in the Extraction System Last Longer
PolyMIGHT spun-bond non-woven filters have a much longer filter lifespan than traditional needle felt hoses due to their larger filtration surface area. With fewer filter replacements, it helps the factory experience less downtime for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, increasing annual production capacity.
The Dust Extraction System Requires Less and Easier Maintenance
Pleated filter bags can be replaced up to six times faster than traditional needle felt bag filters, thanks to their fewer number and simple attachment and detachment structure. This reduces labor costs for maintenance and downtime for repairs, thus increasing annual production capacity.

How Does This Dry Dust and Vapor Extraction Work?
In the PLTF Jet-Pulse pleated filter hoses, access to the filters is possible from above by walking over the unit. This allows the dust extraction unit to fit into much narrower spaces.
PLTF systems have multiple inlet configurations. The inlet configuration is chosen based on your process and layout.
In PLTF units, the dirty air hits a baffle at the dirty air inlet of the unit, causing heavier particles to fall into the hopper by gravity. This reduces the amount of dust that reaches the filters. Reducing the dust load that filters must handle results in a longer filter lifespan and lower energy consumption. The baffle also prevents particles from hitting the filters at high speed, which could potentially damage them.
Dust that falls into the dust collection bin is transferred to the waste container (BIG-BAG, drum, etc.) using dust discharge equipment (rotary valve, screw conveyor, etc.). Small particles that do not fall into the hopper are captured by the filters, preventing them from entering the cleanroom.
When a certain amount of dust accumulates on the filters, the pressure difference between the cleanroom and the dirty chamber begins to increase. When this pressure difference, measured by differential pressure sensors, exceeds a certain level, the automatic jet pulse cleaning system is activated. The Jet-Pulse cleaning system cleans the filters using compressed air through solenoid pulse valves.
