Nitrogen generators

Why buy nitrogen when you can produce it yourself?

Avilo is an expert when it comes to generating nitrogen or hydrogen at home. We design, produce, install and maintain our own nitrogen generators, as well as complete turn-key skid systems. In addition, as a Parker Compressed Air & Gas Treatment distributor, we supply various types of nitrogen generators that can be used to generate nitrogen gas. The nitrogen generators depend on your specific application, taking into account factors such as required purity, gas flow and operating pressure. For businesses that use nitrogen, producing their own nitrogen gas is, in most cases, more cost-effective than buying N2 gas cylinders, packs, and liquid nitrogen installations from a gas supplier.

The benefits of having your own nitrogen generator

Producing nitrogen with a nitrogen generator from Avilo or Parker offers various advantages:

  • Independence, even in harsh winters.
  • 100% availability of the desired quantity and purity, 24/7.
  • Better for the environment, as transport with tank trucks is no longer necessary.
  • Safer storage where the exchange of high-pressure cylinders is no longer needed.
  • No more costs for renting storage facilities, transport, and certifications that were previously invoiced separately from your gas consumption.
  • Short payback period of your own gas installation, usually within a period of 12 to 36 months.
  • No permits are required for placing your own nitrogen storage.

Different techniques for producing nitrogen

For nitrogen production, there are various techniques such as the PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) technology and the membrane technology. Each technique has its own applications and characteristics. Which technology best suits your situation depends on various factors. We can also provide you with lab gas production. Thanks to our partnership with Parker, we supply nitrogen generators and nitrogen membranes for producing nitrogen on your own premises. In addition, we also produce our own membrane generators, lab gas generators, and even customized turnkey systems from Avilo. With a nitrogen generator, you are assured of a constant purity and always on-demand nitrogen gas. You are also no longer dependent on, for example, a gas supplier.

What is the difference between PSA and membrane technology?

The biggest difference between PSA and membrane technology is the desired purity of nitrogen. The PSA nitrogen generator generates a higher purity of nitrogen compared to membrane technology. The PSA technology provides a minimum purity of 95% to a purity of 5 ppm, and the membrane technology provides a purity from 95% to 99.5%.

Using nitrogen and hydrogen as lab gases

We produce and supply various types of gas generators that can be used to generate lab gases. Users in laboratories can thus become independent of external gas suppliers. These Plug & Play lab gas generators deliver very high purities of N2 or H2 (as analysis or carrier gas) at the moment you need it for your spectrometer, gas chromatograph (GC's), or LC/MS. Depending on the applied generator, you always have the availability of hydrogen, zero air, or nitrogen gas 'on demand'. These generators can generate standalone lab gas with their own small compressor or from an existing compressed air channel, in the quantity and purity you need.
