At Interfilter, we have always been progressive in delivering and developing sustainable products. Every day, we work on making buildings and installations of our partners more sustainable. Our main goals are to create a healthier indoor climate, reduce waste, lower energy costs, and reuse materials. We are proud that the first delivery of the Lean Filter with Circular Frame (LFC) recently took place at a project with our sustainable partner Van Dorp. This is an important milestone in our mission to realize sustainable solutions together with our partners and make a positive impact.
Sustainability within Van Dorp
Van Dorp is also active in the field of sustainability. For this project, they are working on renovations and aiming for a high BREEAM score. The LFC filter contributes to reducing the CO2 footprint. Additionally, they monitor the energy consumption at Winthonlaan 1, where the LFC filter helps to lower it.
"The LFC filter contributes to our sustainability goals. Moreover, we no longer have to separate the filters, saving time, especially in a building with 16 floors." said Hans Innemee, Senior Technical Manager at Van Dorp.
Collaboration with Van Dorp
"One of our sustainable relationships is with Van Dorp. Interfilter Group and Van Dorp have been doing business for over 19 years, and the collaboration has been smooth from day one," said Jaco Meijer, Area Sales Manager at Interfilter Group. "I must say that Interfilter Group scores 100% on transparency towards us. If something is not going as desired, it is always resolved well. As a customer, I expect openness and honesty from the supplier, and this is what you can expect from Interfilter Group," Hans Innemee said.
Improving technicians' ergonomics
An important aspect of the LFC bag filter, and of great importance to Van Dorp, is the improved ergonomics for technicians. Replacing the bags is easy thanks to the elastic band and exchange standard. In addition, thanks to the circular frame, technicians have to carry and move less volume in the last mile at the project location. This also applies to disposing the contaminated filters. This innovation improves work processes and makes technicians' work easier and more efficient.
Expected results with the LFC filter
Thanks to the LFC bag filter, transportation, storage, waste management, and the weight of filters will significantly improve at Van Dorp, benefiting the ergonomics of the technicians. Furthermore, using the LFC filter leads to a 34% reduction in the CO2 footprint. A change is planned in three months to test the expectations and see how well the LFC filter delivers these benefits in practice.
By using the LFC bag filter, Van Dorp saves over 34% on the CO2 footprint related to filter usage." said Jaco Meijer, Area Sales Manager at Interfilter Group.
Thanks to
We owe this great project and successful collaboration to Hans Innemee on behalf of Van Dorp. This strong collaboration, built on open and reliable communication, shows that great results can be achieved, such as this sustainable filter optimization within the installation engineering. Not only Interfilter, but also Van Dorp, is proud of this long-standing collaboration, which continues to strengthen through trust and joint effort.
