Duplex Strainer in Petrochemicals

Recently, we had the opportunity to install a new duplex filter system for one of our clients involved in oil products, chemicals, gas & electricity, exploration & production, and renewable energy.

Our client was dealing with an outdated filter housing that no longer met the required standards, putting the process at risk. This strainer filters cooling water in the process, and without sufficient cooling water, a plant can come to a standstill. To prevent this, the strainer must be replaced on time before it can no longer meet the process requirements.

As shown in the photos, the outdated strainer, which was no longer suitable for the process, was replaced with a new duplex strainer. Thanks to duplex filter housings, you are ensured of process continuity, as the housing is equipped with two filter baskets that can be used separately. This way, the process can continue running when one of the filters needs to be replaced. In this manner, the risk of unexpected downtime is minimized, which is crucial in plant operations.
