Custom-made filter housings for food & pharma

For one of our pharmaceutical clients, we have produced a custom-made filter housing according to their specifications. The client works with pharmaceutical products and uses special dairy couplings. The connections are for inlet DN80 11864-1 and outlet DN50 1164-1. The filter housing has a length of 4 and is made of stainless steel 316 with an internal Ra value of <0.8µm and an external Ra value of <1.6µm (H3). This means that the surface roughness has been adjusted. Due to the construction and smooth structure, the filter housings are easy to clean and dirt and bacteria have difficulty adhering. Filter housings with a smooth finish are often used in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Specifications of the filter housing

The specifications of the coupling can be found below:

• The maximum pressure from DN10 to DN40 is 40 bar.
• The maximum pressure from DN50 to DN100 is 25 bar.
• The maximum pressure from DN125 to DN150 is 16 bar.
• The material is 1.4302 (304) and 1.4404 (316L).
• The round wire is according to DIN 405-1.
• The finish is forged/turned.
• The roughness is internal Ra < 0.8µm and external Ra < 1.6µm (H3).
• The standard seal is NBR and otherwise it is EPDM, FKM, HNBR or VMQ.
• The certification is 3.1 according to EN10204, FDA and EC1935/2004.
• The coupling is available in various DN and welding connections.
